Dave Cella Appointed President of HCPro®, Bringing Decades of Executive Leadership to Drive Healthcare Solutions

CHICAGO – April 10, 2024 –The American Health Information Management Association® (AHIMA®)and HCPro® proudly announce the appointment of Dave Cella as President, effective April 3. Cella previously served as President of HCPro in 2023leading up to its acquisition by AHIMA®, and he brings a wealth of experience and expertiseto his role. HCPro is a for-profit, wholly owned subsidiary of AHIMA.

With more than 20 years of executive leadership experience in information services and healthcare industries, Cella's appointment signifies a strategic move to solidify the organization's trajectory in service of the enterprise mission and goals to serve the health information profession and professionals.

Cella previously served as Chief Product Officer for Simplify Compliance, HCPro’s parent company, for five years, where he played a pivotal role in shaping the company's product strategy and direction. His extensive background includes executive positions such as Vice President of Product Management and Executive Publisher for Jones and Bartlett Learning, and Vice President of Product Operations for the National Health Career Association. Additionally, he served as Publishing Director, Life Sciences, at Elsevier.
