Educator Category: The Ohio Health Information Management Association launched the Virtual Intercollegiate Practicum Professional Practice Experience Task Force, which has successfully provided over 100 students with high-quality virtual practice experiences. This innovative initiative has opened doors for students to explore new career opportunities in health information management. The task force has created virtual professional practice experiences for many of the colleges and universities in Ohio. In less than one year, the task force has launched four modules: cancer registry; health literacy presentations; coding and auditing; and release of information.
