Megan is the Director of Professional Services at Harris Data Integrity Solutions (formerly known as Just Associates, Inc.). In this role, Megan leads a team of managers who oversee the Just Associates’ and QuadraMed data integrity projects for clients across the United States and Canada. She is responsible for helping her team manage project scope, strategy, and budget, and works with the sales department in scoping new project leads. Megan also supports business process automation efforts to enhance project accuracy and efficiency and regularly supports emerging professionals by getting mentees involved in various AHIMA initiatives and workgroups.

Prior to Megan’s role at Harris Data Integrity Solutions, she worked as a business analyst for a large healthcare organization in Wisconsin, where she helped deploy their EHR across eleven hospitals and various clinics. In 2021 Megan also developed the course material and taught the first live session of the Health Informatics course in the HIM master’s program at Charter Oak State College. She is still actively involved in the advisory committee, offering expertise and advice to aid professors within the program. Her career has expanded into several areas such as electronic implementation in acute care and physician settings, maintenance of EHR’s, MPI data migration and conversions, health information exchanges, data quality, health informatics, and Public Health Informatics.

Megan is a member of AHIMA and CHIA/SDHIA and has been with Just Associates since 2013. She is a graduate from The College of Scholastica in Duluth, Minn., with a bachelor’s degree in health informatics and information management and a minor in computer information systems and earned her Master of Public Health with a focus on informatics from the University of Minnesota.

Megan regularly mentors students and supports emerging professionals by overseeing practicum experiences, looking for opportunities to support young professionals in gaining real world experiences, and connecting mentees to various AHIMA and/or component association workgroups, initiatives, and activities to network and give back. She regularly supports mentees in obtaining AHIMA credentials or continuing education in HIM.
 

Both CHIMA and AHIMA awarded Megan the prestigious Rising Star award in 2014. She is also a nationally recognized speaker on data integrity, patient matching, and data quality-related topics. In addition to holding her RHIA certification, Megan also supported the development of the AHIMA Patient Matching Micro-Credential and is currently serving on AHIMA’s Data Quality and Data Use Practice Council, supporting Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning publications and conversations to keep members informed. She also serves on SDHIA’s Education Committee and CHIA’s eHealth and HIM Operations and Revenue Cycle Collaboratives.
