Diana Morales Torres
My name is Diana Morales, from Santa Isabel, Puerto Rico. I completed a B.Sc in biology with a minor in biomedical sciences at the University of Puerto Rico, Ponce campus. Upon graduation, I decided to continue learning about healthcare systems and how to improve them, that is why I decided to pursue a masters in Health Information Management at the University of Puerto Rico, Medical Sciences campus. During my time in my masters, I had several opportunities, including be the student liaison in PRHIMA and to participate as a health record extractor for a Hurricane Maria research about the deaths in that time. After being exposed to the administrative side of healthcare, I became determined to pursue a Pharm D in the same university, with the intention to become a specialist in the Pharmacy Informatics field and combine the knowlege acquired in Health Information management and pharmaceutical field. I can aid in the process of planning, development, implementation, and maintenance of new technologies in pharmacy such as telepharmacy.
