Elizabeth (Betty) Rockendorf, MS, RHIA, CHPS, CHTS-IM

Elizabeth (Betty) Rockendorf, MS, RHIA, CHPS, CHTS-IM, is the program director for the Health Information Management and Technology baccalaureate degree program at the University of Wisconsin–Parkside. She has over 15 years of experience as HIM director and privacy officer for an award-winning critical access hospital, clinic, and skilled nursing facility with over 175 physicians on staff. Betty has been a full-time educator since 2016. Prior to joining AHIMA’s CEE Council, Betty served on AHIMA’s Information Governance Practice Council and the CEE workgroups HIM Reimagined, PPE Guidebook Revision, and Curricula©. Other AHIMA activities include item writing for the RHIA exam, writing for Journal of AHIMA, Wisconsin delegate to AHIMA’s House of Delegates, and advocacy-related activities. Betty served on the Wisconsin CSA Board of Directors (President 2018-19), where she helped drive strategic planning. She is a recipient of the Wisconsin Health Information Management Association’s (WHIMA) Distinguished Member Award and the WHIMA Educator Award.
