Tami Montroy, MS, RHIA, CCS

With over 20 years of experience in Health Information, Tami Montroy is an industry leader in Revenue Cycle Management. She has served in both operational as well as strategic leadership roles in large academic medical centers, pediatric hospitals, a network of physician practices, and rural hospitals across the country with a focus on facility and professional fee coding and reimbursement. Tami co-authored “Revenue Cycle Training Handbook: Sharing the Responsibility for Financial Success,” is a contributor to the AHIMA Journal, serves as co-chair for the Revenue Cycle Practice Council, and currently is the Director of Physician Coding and Reimbursement for a large academic medical center on the east coast.

Julie Welsh, CCS, CCS-P, EHMG

Julie Welsh has been involved in Professional fee coding for over 15 years as a coder, auditor, and physician educator. She has CCS & CCS-P certifications and will soon graduate with her MBA in Healthcare Administration. Julie is currently employed with United Healthcare Group’s Optum 360 division as a Profee Coding Supervisor overseeing specialty coding for a large healthcare organization client. She also served as a subject matter expert for AHIMA developing the updated version of their CCS-P certification exam. Julie lives in Ohio with her husband and 2 children and enjoys gardening, mountain biking, and kayaking in her spare time.
