Dr. Abel Guevara III, DHA, MHIM, RHIA, FACHDM, CPhT, CDME is an accomplished healthcare executive specializing in Health Information Management (HIM), and Healthcare Administration (HA) with over two decades of experience in the Durable Medical Equipment, Prosthetics, Orthotics, and Supplies (DMEPOS) industry. Abel has gained tremendous knowledge and experience in all areas including executive Board leadership, healthcare compliance, operations management, revenue cycle management, finance, human resources, and sales. Abel is dedicated to driving efficiency, increasing productivity, and conveying enthusiasm by managing talent, delegating tasks, and building cross-functional teams within a diverse organization. Dr. Guevara is an active Registered Health Information Administrator with AHIMA. He has a Doctor of Health Administration degree, a Master of Health Information Management degree, and mini-Master Business Administration certificate. He continues to inspire current and future HIIM leaders to make a difference in our professional world. His ability to grasp complex cases and provide innovative solutions that can drive our team’s efficiency allows him to mentor our next generation of HIIM professionals. Dr. Guevara’s two decades of healthcare administration experience has allowed him to serve in various leadership positions including COO and VP of Revenue Cycle.
