Stacy Hartstine, RHIA, CDIP, CCS

Stacy Hartstine, RHIA, CDIP, CCS, joined OnPoint Healthcare Solutions in June 2023 and is currently assigned as part of the UCSF HIMS leadership team as a coding auditor and educator. Prior to joining OnPoint, Stacy was Director of Hospital Coding Services for Reimbursement Management Consultants (RMC) from 2006 - 2022. RMC was acquired by Medical Records Associates (MRA) on January 1, 2022, where Stacy continued in her position as Director. During her 23+ years in the health information management field, Stacy has held various positions including coder, coding compliance coordinator, and HIM director. Stacy was a vital part of the development and implementation of RMC’s intensive ICD-10 training program, 10X, which was developed in 2013 to prepare staff and clients for ICD-10 implementation.

Stacy has skills in both the inpatient and outpatient arenas and is a wonderful educator and trainer and participates in ongoing teaching of staff, clients, and students. Stacy has served on the Board of Houston Area Health Information Association (HAHIMA) since 2017 and is currently serving as their President. Stacy has also worked as an adjunct professor of health information technology at San Jacinto College since 2019. Stacy continues to serve in other HIM related volunteer positions such as the AHIMA CCHIIM Commission and the Texas- National Virtual Professional Practicum Experience. Stacy has also volunteered and been a speaker for many educational sessions at state and local HIM associations across the US over the past several years. Stacy is currently in the last term of her bachelors degree program and plans to sit for the RHIA exam soon.
