During this lunch session, attendees can join a presenter of their choice from the SDOH Data Slam Session to interact with, ask questions, and exchange ideas.

You Can’t Do This Alone

This session will focus on the power of SDOH data to improve health and health outcomes and the critical need for collaboration to improve the use and sharing of SDOH data. Speakers will share how they are collaborating with vendors and other stakeholders on SDOH data and the results they have seen from those collaborations. They will also share tips and strategies for overcoming challenges and building successful relationships.

Building Trust

This session will begin with a 25-minute keynote speech from an individual who will share tactics and strategies for building trust with patients and clinicians. It will be followed by a 20-minute fireside chat discussion between a moderator and the keynote speaker to connect those tactics and strategies to conversations related to SDOH.

Tara Montgomery

Founder & Principal of Civic Health Partners

Based in New York, Montgomery is a trusted change leadership advisor, academic practitioner, and social entrepreneur who strives to connect the dots between healthy people and healthy democracies, bringing consumer and citizen perspectives to conversations about culture change in healthcare and other complex systems. She works with leaders to reflect on the intersection of empathy and evidence and supports them through the development of ethical approaches to build public trust.

 

Micky Tripathi, PhD, MPP

National Coordinator for Health Information Technology, U.S. Department of Health and Human Services

Micky Tripathi is the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, where he leads the formulation of the federal health IT strategy and coordinates federal health IT policies, standards, programs, and investments. Tripathi has over 20 years of experience across the health IT landscape. He most recently served as chief alliance officer for Arcadia, a healthcare data and software company focused on population health management and value-based care, project manager of the Argonaut Project, an industry collaboration to accelerate the adoption of FHIR, and a board member of HL7, the Sequoia Project, the CommonWell Health Alliance, and the CARIN Alliance.

Aditi Mallick, MD

Acting Director of the CMS Office of Minority Health

Aditi Mallick, MD, is the acting director of the CMS Office of Minority Health (OMH), whose mission is to lead the advancement and integration of health equity in the development, evaluation, and implementation of CMS’s policies, programs, and partnerships. Prior to joining OMH, Dr. Mallick served as chief medical officer for the CMS Center for Medicaid and CHIP Services, where she led the Center’s clinical strategy and cross-center work on health equity, social determinants of health, and innovation in whole-person care, among other areas.
