Lisa Delhomme, MHA, RHIA is the Program Director of the Health Information Management Program at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. She has been an HIM professional for many years, and an educator since 2007. Prior to entering academia, Delhomme worked as the administrator of a physician practice and ambulatory surgery center.

Before becoming a member of the CEE, Delhomme served two years as Co-Chair of the AHIMA Virtual Lab Strategic Advisory Committee. She also served on AHIMA’s RHIA Exam Development Committee, and as an item writer for the RHIA exam. She is a former president of the Louisiana Health Information Management Association, and served several years as a Delegate. Delhomme is a frequent speaker at AHIMA’s Assembly on Education Symposium, and on topics related to privacy and security in healthcare.
