Position Statement Question
AHIMA’s mission is empowering people to impact health. What distinctive expertise and experience do you have to contribute to AHIMA’s mission?
I believe that I am qualified to serve as Speaker-elect because I have had a diverse professional career over the past 28 years. I have worked in both the traditional and non-traditional HIM job settings. I have consulted, developed requirements for new products, been a privacy officer, and managed small and large projects both from a healthcare facility level as well as from a vendor perspective. I have been very active over the past years participating at the national and state levels of HIM. I enjoy new challenges and I am always looking to learn new things and am willing to assist others as needed. I have very effective communication and presentation skills from my many years of conducting monthly webinars for the Department of Defense end users and other presentations to government leadership.
