Cathy A. Flite, PhD, RHIA, FAHIMA

Cathy A. Flite, PhD, RHIA, FAHIMA, earned her bachelor of science in health information management from Temple University, a master of education in health education from Widener University, and a master and PhD in human and organizational systems from Fielding Graduate Institute. Her research interests include leadership, professional ethics, and managing health information. Dr. Flite is an assistant professor in Health Services Administration and Policy at Temple University in the College of Public Health. Previously she served as Interim Chair and Program Director of the Bachelor of Science in Health Information Management and Master of Science in Health Informatics at Temple University.

She is a recognized leader in health information management and served on many volunteer positions in national, state, and local health information management associations. Currently, she is serving on the Commission on Certification for Health Informatics and Information Management (CCHIIM) and the AHIMA Foundation Research Network (AFRN).
