Angelique Jefferson currently works as a population health consultant at Cerner Corporation. In 2015, they began their career in health information management as a release of information associate for a large health system and worked their way up in the HIM field through various roles, including as HIM manager for a youth inpatient psychiatric association, and as an Epic EHR trainer and go-live consultant. Jefferson previously served three years as the chair of the student council for the Kansas City chapter of AHIMA, engaging students and new graduates from programs all over the area and advocating for the benefit of all HIM students. They received a baccalaureate degree in health information administration, Summa Cum Laude, from Stephens College in 2019. Today Jefferson helps healthcare organizations monitor patient care, find opportunities for higher revenue, and identify potential gaps in care through Cerner’s HealtheIntent platform.
