Judy Kelly holds a master’s degree in health information management and IT leadership and graduate certificates in health information exchange and informatics. She has 35 years of health care experience encompassing a variety of roles including coding and clinical documentation improvement, utilization management, revenue cycle management, and HIM operations. Kelly has served on the CMS Hospital Outpatient Prospective Payment System APC Panel, the AHA/AHIMA Expert E&M Workgroup, and is a longstanding member of the AHA’s Coding Clinic for HCPCS Editorial Advisory Board. Recently she participated in AHIMA’s intersection of Clinical and Administrative Data (ICAD) Task Force and the AHIMA Affordability Public Policy Work Group.
